"Ask not what can additive manufacturing do for you, ask what can you do for additive manufacturing." With these words, Kay Sawatzky opened the “Industry Innovation Dialogue – Optics meets Additive Manufacturing” on December 7th, 2022 in Erfurt.
In a series of 13 lectures, several Thuringian companies and universities presented their latest achievements and contributions to the topic of additive manufacturing.
The main focus was on how advances in physical optics are driving 3D printing.
In this context, new optical systems, innovations and laser forms were presented.
New, recyclable plastics, innovative drive technologies for 3D printers and breathtaking AI and software solutions to optimize 3D printing were also presented.
The event was rounded off with interesting discussions and a tasty dinner.
This evening, BURMS presented both its industrial light engines and their intended use as an energy source in additive manufacturing. New innovations regarding 3D printing were discussed in many interesting discussions with the aim of constantly improving 3D printing.
It was a pleasure for us to be able to take part in this insightful innovation dialogue . We are already looking forward to many more interesting events.
