"Industrial innovation dialogue-Optik meets additive manufacturing on December 7th, 2022 in Erfurt"
"Don't ask what additive manufacturing can do for you, but rather, what can you do for additive manufacturing." With these words, Kay Sawatzky opened the "Industrial Innovation Dialogue – Optics meets Additive Manufacturing" on December 7, 2022, in Erfurt.
In a series of 13 lectures, several Thuringian companies and universities presented their latest achievements and contributions on the topic of additive manufacturing.
The main focus was on how advances in physical optics are driving 3D printing.
In this context, new optical systems, innovations and laser shapes were presented.
Furthermore, new, recyclable plastics, innovative drive technologies for 3D printers and breathtaking AI and software solutions for optimizing 3D printing were presented.
The event was rounded off by interesting discussions and a delicious dinner.
On this evening, BURMS presented both its industrial light engines and their intended use as an energy source in additive manufacturing. Many interesting discussions focused on new innovations in 3D printing, with the goal of continuously improving 3D printing.
It was a pleasure to participate in this insightful innovation dialogue. We look forward to many more interesting events.
